The female parade shoes are usually black and laced up. The male parade shoes have a toecap that can be polished to a high shine. Parade shoes are at the best when they are clean and well polished. This I s a priority and a dirty pair of shoes will not show up in a good light. Female shoes are a bit different from the male version and do not have a toecap. They come with a higher heel than the gets shoe. Keep the shoes clean and well polished. It is not advisable to heat the polished while on the shoe. This can blister the leather. Get some Parade gloss, some water and a good polishing cloth. Moisten the cloth and add some parade gloss and gently rub the polish into the shoe in a circular motion. It works best if the polish is warm and not cold. Keep dipping the cloth into the water but do not get the cloth too wet and then into the polish and repeat the circular motion. After a while the polish will build up in the shoe and a high polish effect will be seen. It may take a bit of practise to get it right first time
